Build the opening package in order
Start with the main identity and the entrance. Customers need to know they have reached the correct business and where to enter. Add hours, pickup information and interior directions where they help. Then consider promotional windows, branded walls and counter messaging. This order keeps the essentials visible and lets the decorative or campaign pieces support the customer journey rather than overwhelm it.
Keep permanent branding separate from changing offers
Use durable identity elements for the business name and repeatable formats for promotions. A window campaign, wall menu graphic and temporary banner have different replacement cycles. Knowing what changes monthly, seasonally or only at a rebrand helps choose materials and file formats. Keep a record of sizes and approved artwork so the next promotion does not require starting from scratch.
Account for the property and the operating day
Shopping-center sign standards may govern the exterior design. An occupied restaurant may need work outside service hours and careful coordination around furniture and equipment. Tell us which areas are customer-facing during installation and who approves access. For downtown or Midtown spaces, include photographs of the frontage and the practical loading or access arrangements.
Ask for a phased proposal
If the budget or opening schedule is tight, identify the required opening elements and the improvements that can follow. The proposal can separate identity signs, glass graphics and interior branding so decisions are easy to compare. Provide the location, brand files, a floor plan or photos, quantities and the opening date. Confirm approvals before treating an exterior graphic as ready for production.

A few useful answers.
Can you work from a franchise brand guide?+
Yes. Include the current guide, approved artwork and any local property sign criteria so conflicts can be identified early.
Can the store remain open?+
That depends on the work area and installation method. Describe operating hours and access restrictions so a workable sequence can be proposed.
Can we reuse the design at another location?+
A master design can be adapted, but each site still needs measurements, access review and any required property approval.
