Swing Copy Shop Operator Position

Vision Graphics has an immediate need of an operator in our small format document production department, working the swing shift.

Job Details & Requirements
Type: Part-time
Location: On-site, Salt Lake City
Required Travel: None
Hours: Weekdays, 1-7PM, daily hours depend on the workload
Education/Experience: High school diploma and/or associates degree preferred.
Experience: 2 years, preferable, but willing to train the right individual
Reports to: Small Format Supervisor

Skills:

  • High attention to detail
  • Time management and prioritization skills to meet deadlines
  • Able to work independently
  • A high level of energy, initiative and self-motivation, with a desire for continuous learning and improvement
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc)

This job entails running various copy machines along with binding and trimming the produced copies.  The optimal candidate will have experience working in a copy center. However, no experience is necessary.

This employee will be responsible for operating copy machines, stapling, collating and binding books with coils and combs, and running large format copiers (up to 36 inches) is a plus.

Hours: Mon-Fri 1:00 pm until the work is done (usually 5-7 p.m.).  Some flexible-hour weekend work may be required during busy times.

Responsibilities

This position:

  • Preparing for the job run time by reviewing the job specifications and making adjustments to the equipment to provide a sample of the finished product.
  • Reviewing the sample form with the supervisor using equipment checklists to ensure that it meets all job specifications and quality requirements.
  • Refilling paper drawers on printing equipment to keep the job running efficiently and on time.
  • Visually inspecting and color matching the forms to samples throughout run time to ensure that they meet job specifications and quality standards.

Salary & Benefits

We offer a competitive wage, starting at $10.50/hour for experienced employees, with the potential for performance-based raises. A change to full-time employment status will offer additional benefits.

Laminator Finisher

Vision Graphics has an immediate need for a laminator finisher based in Salt Lake County.

Experience: Must be 18 years of age and show that you are good at following instructions and taking pride in your work.
Reports to: Production Supervisor

This involves laminating (hot and cold), mounting, framing, assembly, coating, polishing and other fine finishing requests. We need someone that can work independently as needed. Will work with the Department Lead for job priority, quality and related factors. Some weekend work if schedule and demand require. A flexible attitude is also requires as customer’s needs may force changes in intended work flow.

Hours are generally Monday-Friday, 8-5, except for posted holidays.

Vinyl Graphics Installer

  • At least one year of professional graphics installation experience preferred
  • Portfolio should include examples of work with automobiles, building exteriors and interiors with odd angles, contours and shapes.

This position requires a person who knows how to properly install vinyl graphics from start to finish. The person who we hire will know how to identify the proper steps necessary to achieve the best result possible. This person will work with the project manager prior to the job to assess any necessary preparation steps and then help develop a realistic timetable for installation.

This person will be able to install vinyl graphics wherever the locations may be, knowing that most of the work will be within Northern Utah. However, it is possible that jobs may occasionally be scheduled (with plenty of notice) anywhere a Vision Graphics’ customer may be. This person must be able to organize for installation jobs and be responsible for transporting all necessary equipment to the job site.

This position is full-time, but may require that the person who takes the job learn new skills outside of vinyl graphics, based on the need of the company and clients.

This person must have a professional demeanor and appearance. This person will be the face of the company to many clients who only come in contact with the installer.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the estimation of vinyl graphics installation costs
  • Plan jobs to successfully accomplish the client’s needs
  • Assist in kit packing
  • Prepare the surfaces for proper installation
