Responsibilities

Vision Graphics is looking for a skilled craftsman to help in our Finishing Department. This involves laminating (hot and cold), mounting, framing, assembly, coating, polishing and other fine finishing requests. We need someone that can work independently as needed. Will work with the Department Lead for job priority, quality and related factors. Some weekend work if schedule and demand require. A flexible attitude is also requires as customer’s needs may force changes in intended work flow.

Hours are generally Monday-Friday, 8-5, except for posted holidays.

This position requires a person who knows how to properly install vinyl graphics from start to finish. The person who we hire will know how to identify the proper steps necessary to achieve the best result possible. This person will work with the project manager prior to the job to assess any necessary preparation steps and then help develop a realistic timetable for installation.

This person will be able to install vinyl graphics wherever the locations may be, knowing that most of the work will be within Northern Utah. However, it is possible that jobs may occasionally be scheduled (with plenty of notice) anywhere a Vision Graphics’ customer may be. This person must be able to organize for installation jobs and be responsible for transporting all necessary equipment to the job site.

This position is full-time, but may require that the person who takes the job learn new skills outside of vinyl graphics, based on the need of the company and clients.

This person must have a professional demeanor and appearance. This person will be the face of the company to many clients who only come in contact with the installer.

Hours: Mon-Fri 4:00 pm until the work is done (usually 8pm, but sometimes as late as 12:00 midnight).  Some flexible-hour weekend work may be required during busy times.

This position:

  • Preparing for the job run time by reviewing the job specifications and making adjustments to the equipment to provide a sample of the finished product.
  • Reviewing the sample form with the supervisor using equipment checklists to ensure that it meets all job specifications and quality requirements.
  • Refilling paper trays on Xerox equipment to keep the job running efficiently and on time.
  • Visually inspecting and color matching the forms to samples throughout run time to ensure that they meet job specifications and quality standards.

We rely on our seamstresses to follow project instructions. Also, we look for someone who can think on their feet and identify and commmunicate problems or better ways to perform a job in a way that would be more pleasing to the client.

Hours are normally scheduled during normal business hours, Monday-Friday, with a rare need for after-hours work.

Required Travel: Local travel, usually within 1 hour of the home office, and no overnight travel required.
Education/Experience: High school diploma
Experience:

  • 6 months preferable
  • Valid drivers license

Reports to: Production Director

  • Positive attitude and pleasant personality – The delivery driver is the face of our company to many customers and must represent the company in a professional manner

  • Load, unload and secure product to ensure customers receive clean and damage free merchandise.
  • Operate delivery vehicles in a safe and lawful manner. Responsible for the vehicle and its contents.
  • Complete daily route and all appropriate paperwork. Communicate obstacles and help to find solutions to improve our overall ability to deliver.
  • Perform job functions consistent with all company safety policies and practices.
